Thomas Vu
As a little boy refugee growing up in Vietnam, Thomas dreamt of working for NASA, building video games, and making films one day. Somehow, those dreams manifested in a life filled with adventures. He worked with Sally Ride and ISS, taking suborbital images of the Earth. He built and ran AAA franchises like The Sims, Simcity, and League of Legends and won an Emmy for producing Netflix’s Animated Series Arcane. He was also awarded two RIAA-certified platinum albums along the way with his work on the digital band KDA.
Thomas is constantly operating at the cutting edge and intersection of technology, entertainment, and culture.
Today, Thomas spends his time as a capital allocator through several funds (Haveli, Moon Holdings, Initiate) focused on games, AI, and IP. He’s in the midst of furiously writing a book. He loves spending time with his wife, Becca, and daughters, Lauren and Kate, in Los Angeles.
Thomas believes that anything made with intention and love can be felt by its audience. His goal in life is to go where no one has gone and see what no one has seen.
